Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

• Account identifiers, email address, profile name and image supplied through authentication, and support messages you send us.
• Uploaded photos, generated videos and GIFs, generation status, and records linking a pack to your account.
• Payment references, amounts, payment status, and timestamps. Payment details are collected by Dodo Payments; the app does not collect your full card number.
• Technical information used by the service and hosting providers, such as IP address, browser information, request logs, and error information.

2. What happens to your photo

Selecting a photo first creates a preview in your browser. When you continue to sign-in, the app saves a local draft so your photo can be restored afterward. Drafts older than one hour are treated as expired and cleaned up when the draft store is next read; this is not a background deletion timer. Removing the photo or completing its upload clears the current draft. You can also clear this site’s browser storage.

After you continue while signed in, including when you return from the sign-in flow, your photo is uploaded to our storage. For a paid pack, it is sent to our AI generation provider to create the reactions. Generated files are stored so you can view and download them.

Media is currently delivered through direct storage URLs. Anyone who obtains a file’s URL may be able to access it without signing in. Do not upload confidential images or share links you want to keep private. Account access controls do not make these file URLs private.

3. Why we use this information

We use information to authenticate you, generate and deliver the pack you request, record payment status, send readiness notifications, answer support requests, investigate abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use this upload flow to identify you against a database of other people.

Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service you request, compliance with law, legitimate interests such as security where permitted, or your consent when required. A privacy notice is not a substitute for any separate consent the law requires. Photos are not used in our advertising without separate permission.

4. Service providers and disclosure

Providers involved in the current service include Clerk and Google for authentication, Dodo Payments for payment processing, Cloudflare R2 for media storage and delivery, Replicate and the selected model provider for AI processing, and Resend for transactional email. Hosting and database providers also process service data. Different providers receive the information necessary for their role; not every provider receives your photo.

Provider processing, retention, and any model-data use are governed by their applicable terms and settings. We do not promise that every provider applies identical retention or training rules. We may also disclose information where legally required, to respond to valid legal requests, or to address fraud, security threats, or rights complaints. Using processors does not remove our own legal responsibilities.

5. Storage and retention

Photos and generated files are retained to deliver your pack, make it available in your gallery, and handle support. This app does not currently enforce an automatic 30-day photo or 90-day GIF deletion schedule. Contact info@selfiegif.fun to request deletion; download anything you want to keep first.

Account, transaction, security, backup, and dispute records may need to be retained for applicable legal or operational purposes. We review deletion requests and any relevant retention requirements rather than promising the same deletion deadline for every system. Deleting your account alone may not delete stored media; include your packs in your deletion request. Copies you or other people have downloaded or shared are outside our control.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Authentication uses cookies and similar technologies. The app also uses browser storage for the selected-photo draft and its session identifier. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in or photo restoration. If optional advertising or analytics tracking is introduced, the notice and consent controls must be updated before it is enabled where required.

7. Security and international processing

We use authentication and access controls for account data, but no service can guarantee absolute security. The direct-media-link limitation is explained above. We do not claim independent security certifications or a regular audit program in this notice.

Our providers may process information outside your country. Applicable transfer requirements and safeguards depend on the location and processing involved. Contact us for questions about your data’s handling; using the website alone is not a waiver of your data-protection rights.

8. Your choices and requests

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection to processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Email info@selfiegif.fun from your account email with the request. We may need to verify your identity using proportionate information; do not send passwords or payment-card details. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any lawful exceptions. You may also contact the relevant data-protection or consumer authority.

9. Adults only and rights complaints

SelfieGIF is intended for people aged 18 or older and adult subjects only. Do not upload a child’s photo. If you believe a child’s data or an unauthorized image has been submitted, contact info@selfiegif.fun with the relevant link or account information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Updates and contact

We will update this notice when our processing changes and provide additional notice when required. For privacy requests or complaints, contact the SelfieGIF operator at info@selfiegif.fun. This policy does not limit rights or remedies provided by applicable law.
